My dear Nancy,

Many thanks for the latest effort returned herewith with a few pencilled scrawls for whatever they're worth. I think it reads fluently and well. And I feel it's at the centre of theological problems. There, though, I can't find anything to get my teeth into, somehow: Theology is a sort of doughnut, as I see it. Not my cup of tea either. I'm lost if there's no question of fact and inference, and not all that clearly located even when there is.
